Singer D4vd Under Investigation in Teen’s Mysterious Death

Los Angeles police are investigating singer D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, as a potential suspect in the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas. Her decomposed remains were found in his Tesla on September 8, 2024. Sources from law enforcement with direct knowledge of the case indicate that investigators are treating this as an apparent homicide.

Officers found the remains concealed in a plastic bag within the vehicle’s front trunk, and at the time, officials stated the body was too decomposed to determine even the sex of the individual.

Rivas, a resident of Lake Elsinore, had been reported missing on April 5, 2024. Her brother, Matthew Rivas, informed NBCLA that family members were aware that his sister knew D4vd. Reports from TMZ indicate that Rivas’ mother mentioned her daughter was dating someone named “David” prior to her disappearance.

D4vd, who gained popularity through viral hits on TikTok, canceled his world tour following the tragic discovery of Rivas’ remains.
