Top Trump Official Exposed for Lying About Epstein Ties
URGENT UPDATE: New evidence has surfaced, exposing a top Trump official, Howard Lutnick, for misleading statements regarding his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Documents released by the Justice Department have raised serious questions about Lutnick’s claims that he had no interactions with Epstein after 2005.
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), the leading Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, has demanded immediate answers, stating, “We have serious questions.” Lutnick, who previously served as Commerce Secretary and is a notable supporter of Donald Trump, claimed he and his wife cut ties with Epstein after visiting his New York home in 2005. However, newly released documents indicate that Lutnick was in contact with Epstein as late as 2012.
The shocking revelations include plans for Lutnick and his family to visit Epstein’s private island, along with evidence of business dealings stretching into 2014. Emails disclosed by the DOJ show that Lutnick and Epstein were involved in financial discussions tied to a now-defunct advertising technology company named Adfin.
CBS News reports that the correspondence indicates Lutnick maintained contact with Epstein well past the alleged severance of ties, arranging calls and even planning to meet for drinks in 2011. Notably, in 2017, Epstein pledged to donate $50,000 to a United Jewish Appeal Federation event honoring Lutnick, further complicating the narrative.
In a swift defense, a spokesperson for the Commerce Department criticized the media’s reporting, asserting, “Lutnick has never been accused of wrongdoing.” The spokesperson claimed that these revelations are an attempt to distract from the Trump administration’s accomplishments, which include securing trillions of dollars in investments and historic trade deals.
The implications of these findings are profound, underscoring the entangled relationships between high-profile individuals and Epstein, who has been at the center of numerous scandals. As this story develops, the public and officials alike will be watching closely for further responses from Lutnick and the Trump administration.
