Kelly Osbourne Reveals Family’s Emotional Christmas Plans Without Ozzy
UPDATE: Kelly Osbourne has just announced her family’s emotional plans for their first Christmas without her father, Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away on July 22, 2023. In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Kelly, 41, shared that the family will celebrate the holiday in a traditional English style, marking a poignant moment in their lives.
“We are going to have a proper English Christmas,” Kelly confirmed, emphasizing that the family will incorporate cherished customs, including traditional British Christmas crackers. “They don’t even have crackers in LA,” she noted, highlighting the importance of maintaining their cultural traditions during this difficult time.
This year, the family gathering will include 14 members, and Kelly has ordered matching pajamas for everyone to wear while they watch King Charles III’s Christmas speech, adding a touch of warmth to their celebration. “We are going to be sitting in front of the telly,” she said, underscoring the familial bond they are clinging to during this emotional period.
Kelly’s reflections reveal the depth of her grief as she navigates this first holiday season without Ozzy. “I just want to get through Christmas without crying,” she admitted. This sentiment resonates deeply, given the family’s recent loss of the legendary rocker, known as the “Prince of Darkness.”
The Osbourne family has been vocal about their grief and tributes to Ozzy. Earlier this month, Sharon Osbourne, 73, along with their children Aimee and Jack, honored Ozzy’s birthday by decorating his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A heartfelt message from his children read, “We love you daddy,” while Sharon’s tribute expressed, “Happy Birthday my darling. Eternal love.”
In a recent social media post, Kelly responded to speculation regarding her health and weight loss, which she attributed to the emotional toll of losing her father. “My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can,” she shared, pointing out that her focus is on her family, especially her 3-year-old son Sidney.
Kelly’s candidness about her struggles and her call to internet trolls for body-shaming underscores the immense pressure public figures face, especially during challenging times. “So to all those people, f–k off,” she declared, urging for empathy and understanding.
As the Osbourne family prepares for this poignant holiday season, their plans reflect both their enduring love for Ozzy and the importance of family unity in times of sorrow. This Christmas, the family aims to create new memories while cherishing the legacy of their beloved father.
