District 3 Wrestling Tournament Set to Begin Amid Schedule Changes
UPDATE: The highly anticipated District 3 Class 3A boys wrestling team tournament is gearing up, with 16 teams ready to clash for the championship title. However, an important schedule change has emerged: the dates for the first round and quarterfinals are now to be determined, causing a stir among teams and fans alike.
The semifinals and wrestle back matches are confirmed for Thursday, February 1, 2024, starting at 5 p.m. at Spring Grove Area High School. The championship and third-place matches will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Central York High School at 1 p.m.. The top four teams will secure their spots in the PIAA Team Championships next month, making every match critical.
In the first round, scheduled to take place at various locations, teams will battle starting at 6 p.m. on the yet-to-be-determined date. Key matchups include:

– (16) York Suburban (10-2) vs. (1) Gettysburg (17-1)

– At Central Dauphin High School:
– (10) Cocalico (14-2) vs. (7) Ephrata (11-3)
– (15) Conrad Weiser (11-2) vs. (2) Central Dauphin (15-2)
– At Spring Grove High School:
– (11) Hempfield (10-2) vs. (5) Wilson (11-2)
– (14) Red Land (10-4) vs. (3) Spring Grove (20-0)
Winners of these matches will advance to the quarterfinals immediately after, heightening the stakes for participating teams.
