Anthracite Model Railroad Society Hosts Holiday Open House Now

URGENT UPDATE: The Anthracite Model Railroad Society is currently holding its annual holiday open house at their headquarters located at 1056 Hanover Ct., Hazle Township. This exciting event gives visitors a chance to explore intricate model train displays and engage with fellow enthusiasts. The open house runs from noon to 5 PM on January 3-4 and January 10-11, 2025, and features special appearances by Thomas and Friends trains on the first two days.

This year marks a significant milestone, as the society has been a cherished part of the Hazle Township community for 25 years. With approximately 30 active members, the society showcases stunning layouts that depict historical local scenes, including the famous Bethlehem Steel display and the iconic D.G. Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville.

Admission is free, although donations are greatly appreciated to support ongoing projects and community outreach. This open house not only provides entertainment but also fosters a sense of community among railroad enthusiasts and families alike.

Attendees are already sharing their excitement on social media, showcasing the eye-catching displays.
