As a result, five men were arrested, although NSW Police did not confirm the arrests directly. Instead, they indicated that seven men were “assisting police” and noted that the operation had concluded without establishing any connection to the earlier Bondi Beach attack.

Images from the scene depicted heavily armed law enforcement officers escorting individuals who were restrained with zip ties, moving them to sit or kneel against a wall. The swift action by police highlighted the heightened tensions following the tragic events at Bondi Beach, where a father-son duo opened fire during a Hanukkah celebration, prompting a courageous civilian to intervene and stop the shooting.
