Urgent: $5,100 Checks from $6.5M Data Breach Settlement Soon
URGENT UPDATE: Millions of dollars are set to be distributed to eligible Americans as part of a $6.5 million settlement related to a significant data breach affecting Omni Family Health. Payments, potentially reaching up to $5,100, are expected to go out soon, but claimants must act quickly as the deadline to file is approaching on January 5, 2026.
The class action lawsuit against Omni Family Health, which serves communities in Central Valley, California, stems from accusations that the nonprofit failed to implement adequate cybersecurity measures, leading to a data breach discovered on August 7, 2024. Sensitive personal information, including Social Security numbers, was allegedly exposed to hackers, prompting the settlement agreement despite Omni Family Health not admitting any wrongdoing.
Eligible claimants must be U.S. residents whose information was compromised during the breach. A specific subclass includes individuals who lived in California at that time. Those in this category received personalized notices via mail or email containing a unique ID and Confirmation Code, which are necessary for filing claims.
To claim your share, you must visit the settlement website and enter the provided ID and Code to submit a claim form. Alternatively, claimants can print and mail their claims to the settlement administrator at 1650 Arch Street, Suite 2210, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
The amount received will depend on various factors. California residents who can provide proof of out-of-pocket losses—such as bank statements or credit reports documenting unreimbursed fraud or identity theft—could see the maximum payout of $5,100. Those without documentation can expect a pro rata cash payment, estimated at around $205.56 for California residents and about $105.56 for others.
Importantly, another settlement involving a separate data breach is also in the news, with dental patients urged to claim up to $6,000 from a $1.2 million settlement by January 28.
The final approval hearing for the Omni Family Health case is scheduled for February 26, 2026, with payments likely to be distributed shortly thereafter. Americans are encouraged to stay alert and prepare their claims now to ensure they do not miss out on these significant payouts.
For further updates, keep an eye on official announcements and the settlement website. Don’t wait—act now to secure your potential compensation from this major data breach settlement.
