Urgent: 10-Year-Old Detained After 7-Year-Old Stabbed in CA School

BREAKING: A 10-year-old child has been detained following a shocking stabbing incident at Bubb Elementary School in Mountain View, California. This urgent situation unfolded around 3:30 PM during an after-school program on July 19, 2023, when a 7-year-old student was reportedly stabbed multiple times.

Authorities from the Mountain View Police Department quickly responded to reports of the stabbing, activating a lockdown on campus as they secured the area. The victim was found suffering from three stab wounds to the shoulder. Emergency personnel from the Mountain View Fire Department treated the child on-site before the injured student was released to a parent.

Police recovered a kitchen knife believed to be the weapon used in the attack. Initially, the suspect fled the scene; however, police conducted a thorough search of the neighborhood. Using residential video footage, officers identified the suspect through prior contacts. A K-9 unit from the Los Altos Police Department assisted in tracking the suspect from the school to their home.
