URGENT UPDATE: A young couple has tragically died in separate motorbike crashes just hours apart on the holiday island of Tenerife. Adrián, aged 28, and his girlfriend Orimar Endrina Adellan Fumero, 34, were both victims of devastating accidents that have shocked the local community.

Initial reports confirm that Orimar was riding her motorbike around 6 PM last Friday when she was temporarily blinded, causing her to lose control. She crashed into the back of a car and was subsequently thrown into the path of a bus. Despite the efforts of firefighters who managed to extract her from beneath the vehicle, paramedics could not save her life.

Just hours later, in a cruel twist of fate, Adrián received the tragic news and headed to Orimar’s home to care for her pets. While on the TF-1 motorway near the Granadilla de Abona Industrial Estate, he was struck by a driver who allegedly ran a stop sign. This crash occurred on the notorious TF-65 road in Las Zocas, known for its high accident rate.

Authorities report that the 63-year-old driver, who was arrested at the scene, was allegedly under the influence of both alcohol and drugs. After spending the night in custody, he faced a judge and was released on bail. He now faces serious charges of causing death by dangerous driving, which could result in a jail sentence of one to four years and a driving ban of up to six years.

The couple, who had been together for approximately two years, shared a profound love for animals and motorbikes. Originally from Venezuela, Adrián had lived in Adeje since he was three years old, while Orimar moved to Tenerife at the age of nine. She had been working as a healthcare assistant and later in a health food store, while Adrián was involved in breeding falcons.

Their families are devastated, with Adrián survived by his grandmother and sister, and Orimar’s younger sister reportedly suffering a nervous breakdown due to the tragedy.

This heartbreaking incident follows closely on the heels of another road tragedy in Tenerife, where a cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run, raising serious concerns about road safety on the island. The alarm was raised around 8 PM in the municipality of Arona, as authorities investigate whether foul play was involved in that incident.

Residents are left mourning the loss of two vibrant lives cut short, while local authorities are urged to take action to improve safety on the island’s roads. As investigations continue, community members are coming together to support the grieving families during this incredibly difficult time.
