Southern California Pastor Sentenced to 45 Years for Child Assault

Another victim reported repeated assaults in a backyard shed when she was aged 7 to 8 years.

In August 2025, Valdez was convicted of 11 felony counts of lewd acts with a minor under 14, along with three counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration of a child under 10. The verdict sent shockwaves through the community and sparked discussions about child safety in places of worship.
