Flight FR1121, which departed at 3:05 p.m. on December 28, faced significant turbulence that necessitated its immediate return, according to reports.

The aircraft, a Boeing 737 Max, turned back just minutes into the flight. Ryanair confirmed that a “small number of passengers were provided with medical assistance” upon landing. The flight landed safely, allowing passengers to disembark before being treated in the terminal.

After the incident, the flight was rescheduled and departed again at 9:06 p.m. local time for Tenerife, but specific details regarding the exact number of injured passengers remain unclear as Ryanair has not disclosed whether any were hospitalized.

Flight-tracking data from Flightradar24 revealed that the aircraft squawked 7700, a transponder code signaling a general emergency, indicating the severity of the situation.
