Bale, born on August 5, 1958, in Hartford, CT, was an accomplished pianist who honed his craft under the guidance of his mother, Rosalia Julia Bale. His musical journey led him to earn a Bachelor of Arts from the Hartt School of Music, where he studied with notable instructors. Bale was also a passionate traveler, exploring Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada, and Mexico. His journey across the U.S. on a bicycle in 1997 inspired some of his notable visual artworks. In 2000, he embraced Buddhism, receiving the Tibetan name Tsültrim Tharpa, symbolizing “Discipline Liberation.”
He is survived by his loving husband of 25 years, Dr. Joseph Anthony Campana, and his sister, Victoria Ruth Bale. Bale cherished his friendships and the joy they brought him throughout his life. His funeral service will be held at Dewachen Columbarium in Delhi, NY, on May 31, 2026.
