New Science-Backed Gym Opens in West University Place
A new gym focused on science-backed training and technology is set to open in West University Place, Houston, on April 20, 2024. Body Fit Training (BFT) will launch its location on Bissonnet Street, offering a unique blend of coaching, programming, and technology designed to enhance fitness journeys for members of all levels.
Co-owner Tom Waguespack emphasized the gym’s commitment to personalized coaching. Certified trainers will guide members through classes, ensuring proper form and technique. This hands-on approach is a cornerstone of BFT’s strategy to foster a supportive environment for fitness enthusiasts.
Innovative Programming and Technology
BFT differentiates itself through its innovative programming, which is structured in 10-week blocks. This science-backed approach aims to facilitate steady progress for members. Waguespack noted that the gym utilizes heart rate technology to optimize workouts, tailoring exercises to individual heart rate zones. This focus on metrics is designed to help members achieve their fitness goals more effectively.
“Our programming is results-oriented,” Waguespack explained. “We strive to achieve tangible results for our members, continuously improving their lives.” He highlighted the inclusivity of BFT, stating that the gym caters to all strength and health levels. “You can have someone who is just starting right next to someone who is an athlete,” he added. This diversity is central to the community experience that BFT aims to create.
Building a Community Experience
In addition to its fitness offerings, BFT prioritizes community engagement. Waguespack and co-owner Angelica Ortiz want members to feel a sense of belonging, contributing to a positive atmosphere that encourages regular attendance. “We believe that members will look forward to visiting the studio as they feel a sense of community and get better results,” Waguespack said.
To celebrate its upcoming opening, BFT is currently offering a promotional 25% discount on memberships for those who sign up before the grand opening. This initiative not only incentivizes early commitment but also allows prospective members to experience the gym’s unique programming and community-focused environment.
With the launch of Body Fit Training, West University Place residents will have access to a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to enhancing personal health and fitness through innovative methods.
