Seth Rollins Reflects on Missing AEW’s Claudio Castagnoli
Seth Rollins has candidly expressed that he misses his former rival and current AEW star, Claudio Castagnoli, during a recent interview with CBR. Their relationship, which was marked by intense on-screen rivalries, has evolved into a genuine friendship, particularly over their shared love for coffee. This revelation adds a personal touch to the competitive world of professional wrestling as Rollins reflects on the connections he values.
In his conversation, Rollins mentioned the importance of family, highlighting his daughter, Roux, as someone he deeply misses. He emphasized that when he is with his family, he feels content and does not miss anyone else. Yet, he made it clear that time apart from Castagnoli is felt. “You know who I miss? This is a weird one. I miss Claudio. Well, I haven’t seen Claudio in a long time. I feel like it’s been too long. I don’t know the time,” Rollins stated.
Despite the long gap since their last meeting, the two remain in contact through text messages, often discussing their mutual passion for coffee. Rollins added, “I talk to him all the time, but I haven’t been in his presence. So, I miss Claudio. Fellow coffee enthusiast. We keep in touch via the coffee texts with John, but it’s just not the same.” This sentiment underlines the importance of personal connections in the often tumultuous environment of professional wrestling.
Rollins and Castagnoli, known for their prior matches in WWE, have also battled each other in various promotions, including Ring of Honor (ROH) and several independent wrestling organizations. Their history in the ring has fostered a strong bond, which has continued to thrive even after Castagnoli’s departure from the WWE in 2022.
As both wrestlers continue to carve out their paths in the industry, Rollins’ acknowledgment of missing Castagnoli serves as a reminder of the friendships that can form in the competitive arena of professional wrestling. Their shared experiences, both inside and outside the ring, highlight how personal relationships can endure despite the pressures of their careers.
The wrestling community often sees rivalries play out in dramatic fashion, but Rollins’ words reveal a softer side to these interactions, showcasing the humanity behind the personas.
