Raven Reflects on Regrets and Mental Health in New Documentary
Raven, the former professional wrestler, recently shared his personal struggles and reflections during an interview on Wrestling Observer Radio. Promoting his upcoming documentary, Nevermore: The Raven Effect, set to premiere on November 18, 2025, on Amazon Prime, Raven expressed his wish that he had sought mental health support earlier in his life.
During the interview with hosts Dave Meltzer and Garrett Gonzales, Raven candidly discussed the notion of regret. “Anybody who says they don’t have regrets is full of s–t. I got millions of regrets,” he remarked. Despite acknowledging his regrets, he emphasized that he is currently content with his life.
Raven specifically noted that confronting his insecurities sooner would have been beneficial. He stated, “My insecurity led to my egotism. Anybody who’s egotistical is just insecure, that’s scientific fact.” The wrestler revealed he would have sought help from a psychiatrist or psychologist much earlier in his journey.
“I think everybody should spend time on a couch, frankly,” Raven continued, highlighting the liberating nature of therapy. He encouraged others to engage with mental health professionals to address their inner demons instead of suffering in silence.
In addition to Raven’s insights, the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio featured discussions about the 2025 WON Hall of Fame Class. Notable inductees include CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Sabu, and others. The full episode is available for subscribers.
The documentary, directed by Geordie Day, also includes appearances by prominent figures in the wrestling world, such as Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam, and Diamond Dallas Page. It promises to offer an in-depth look at Raven’s life and career, encompassing both his triumphs and struggles.
Fans of professional wrestling can pre-order Nevermore: The Raven Effect now and enhance their Blu-ray collections with this anticipated release. The documentary aims to shine a light on the importance of mental health, a message that resonates deeply with Raven as he shares his story.
