The Professional Audio Manufacturers Alliance (PAMA) marked the end of a significant year in December 2025, highlighted by the launch of its innovative Hearing Rocks initiative and a new slate of leadership scholarships. The Hearing Rocks program aims to raise awareness about hearing loss issues within the audio industry, addressing a growing concern among professionals in the field.

In partnership with Shure Inc., PAMA also announced the recipients of the fifth-annual Mark Brunner Professional Audio Scholarship. This scholarship aims to support the next generation of audio professionals, ensuring continued growth and innovation in the industry.

Leadership Transition at PAMA

A notable change in leadership occurred as Yvonne Ho, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Point Source Audio, was appointed President of PAMA’s Board of Directors for a two-year term. Ho succeeds Chris Regan of RF Venue, who remains on the board as a director.

Reflecting on the year, Ho stated, “This year has been an eventful one for the PAMA organization. Between our online events and ongoing advocacy for hearing health, as well as our scholarship co-sponsored by Shure, we touched a lot of corners of the industry and helped plant the seeds for great things in the future.”

PAMA’s initiatives not only address immediate concerns but also aim to foster long-term improvements in the audio sector. The organization is poised for further growth in 2026, committing to enhancing the audio industry for all stakeholders involved.

The combination of the Hearing Rocks initiative and the scholarship program illustrates PAMA’s dedication to both education and advocacy. As the audio industry continues to evolve, PAMA’s efforts will likely play a crucial role in shaping its future landscape.
