Notably, he is the only true freshman to achieve this milestone in a Power Four conference, showcasing his potential as a future star for the Cougars.

Another highlight of the game came from senior safety Tanner Wall, who achieved his first career touchdown after intercepting a pass late in the fourth quarter. With TCU driving toward the BYU 42, Wall intercepted a tipped pass and sprinted 68 yards for the score. “In my head I was like, ‘Don’t get tackled! Get to the end zone!’” Wall said, reflecting on the exhilarating moment. His touchdown capped off an impressive defensive display that left the crowd roaring.
