iShares Russell 1000 Value ETF Hits New High as Investors React
The iShares Russell 1000 Value ETF (NYSEARCA:IWD) achieved a new 52-week high during trading on March 12, 2024, reaching a peak price of $225.09 before closing at $224.62. This increase occurred amid a trading volume of 2,021,236 shares, showcasing a slight rise from its previous close of $224.57. The iShares Russell 1000 Value ETF, which has a market capitalization of $69.98 billion, currently features a price-to-earnings ratio of 18.83 and a beta of 0.89. Institutional Investments Surge
Recent trading activity has drawn significant attention from institutional investors. Notably, JPMorgan Chase & Co. increased its stake in the iShares Russell 1000 Value ETF by an impressive 140.0% during the second quarter. The firm now holds 9,153,000 shares valued at approximately $1.78 billion after acquiring an additional 32,036,243 shares.
Similarly, Baird Financial Group Inc. raised its position by 12.7%, bringing its total to 5,275,282 shares worth about $1.02 billion after purchasing 593,784 shares during the same period.
Adding to the momentum, Diamond Hill Capital Management Inc. reported a staggering 24,828.5% increase in its stake during the fourth quarter, now holding 556,903 shares valued at $117.14 million. Additionally, Confluence Investment Management LLC lifted its stake by an astounding 2,904.9%, acquiring 568,609 shares worth roughly $119.60 million.
Moreover, Tcfg Wealth Management LLC significantly grew its investment by 12,109.1% during the third quarter, now owning 321,587 shares valued at $65.47 million. Collectively, institutional investors now hold 84.93% of the ETF’s stock, reflecting strong confidence in its future performance.
