MomsWork Podcast Explores Realities of Career and Parenthood
Kristin Weinrich, a fourth-grade teacher and mother of two from Malvern, has launched the **MomsWork podcast** to address the complexities of balancing a career and parenthood. Inspired by her own experiences and encouraged by her husband, Weinrich aims to provide support and inspiration for parents navigating similar challenges. The podcast, which debuted last year, has quickly gained traction among listeners both locally and nationally.
Weinrich’s approach is candid and relatable. “I explore the real, unfiltered side of balancing parenthood and career,” she stated. The podcast features discussions with parents, creatives, and experts who share insights and advice that resonate with anyone juggling family and work life.
Universal Challenges in Parenting
The struggles and triumphs of parenthood are universal, according to Weinrich. Regular listener **Susan Chronister** from Chester County appreciates the way the podcast normalizes the experiences of working mothers. “I love the variety of topics she chooses, from balancing work and home to cooking and women’s health,” Chronister remarked. “There is truly something for everyone.”
Initially focusing on working mothers, Weinrich has expanded her guest list to include fathers, recognizing the importance of diverse perspectives in the conversation about work-life balance. Chronister noted, “The new addition of hearing from dads is a great twist that helps me better understand my partner’s perspective.”
The podcast has featured a range of notable guests, including **Ruth McKeaney** of *Hungry for Home* and **Rachel Farnsworth**, known as *The Stay At Home Chef*. Upcoming episodes promise more engaging content, with **Brad Ingelsby**, writer and producer of HBO shows like *Mare of Easttown*, set to appear alongside sisters **Meg Roberston** and **Molly Ryan**, who own *Kramer Drive* in Berwyn.
Insights and Community Connection
The 18th episode of the podcast, airing on **March 3**, will feature **Dr. Fiona MacPhee**, a child psychologist. Weinrich believes that every guest brings a unique perspective that can spark valuable conversations. “No matter how well I know them beforehand, I always feel like we could keep talking for hours once we start discussing parenting,” she shared.
Weinrich emphasizes that the shared experiences of parenting foster a sense of community and connection. “It’s comforting to realize that no one truly has it all figured out — we’re all doing the best we can,” she explained.
Listeners can expect to take away practical advice, whether it’s a new idea, a shortcut, or a different approach to everyday challenges. “I hope they laugh a little, or a lot, but most of all, I hope they feel connected — to me, to my guest, and to the broader community of parents,” Weinrich added.
The **MomsWork podcast** is available on Apple Podcasts, and listeners can follow its updates on Instagram and Facebook at @momsworkpodcast. Through this platform, Weinrich continues to inspire and support parents everywhere as they navigate the intricate balance of work and family life.
