Community members in Boscawen, New Hampshire, are mourning the passing of Sandra J. Miner, who died on December 16, 2025, after a brave fight against breast cancer. She was 76 years old.

Born on April 5, 1949, in Concord, NH, Sandra was the daughter of Elwyn B. and Annie F. (French) Chamberlin. She spent her early years in Penacook, where she attended local schools, including the Charles Street School and Penacook High School. After graduating, she began her career in public service with the New Hampshire Aeronautics Commission, later working in various local establishments such as J.M. Field’s Snack Bar and Alans of Boscawen Restaurant, where she dedicated over two decades of service.

Community Involvement and Personal Passions

Most recently, Sandra contributed to the Merrimack Valley school district, serving as a snack bar cook at the middle school. Her commitment to the community extended beyond her professional life; she was actively involved with the Torrent Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and held the position of President for several years.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leonard A. Miner Sr., and their two children: son Leonard Miner Jr. and wife Lea of Laconia, and daughter Rebecca Reed and husband Ed of Salisbury. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Allyssa Miner of Cambridge, MA, and Jacob Miner of Haverhill, MA, along with numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Annie Chamberlin, her daughter, Patience Hibbard, and her brother, Stanley Chamberlin of Loudon.
