Medicom Expands Contracts with VA, Now Serves 17 of 18 Regions

Expanding Access to Care for Veterans

VISN 17 serves nearly 500,000 veterans across Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. In contrast, VISN 10 provides care to more than 685,000 veterans throughout Michigan’s lower peninsula, Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Indiana. The new contracts will not only enhance the efficiency of image sharing but will also empower VA staff with advanced search capabilities to locate and retrieve prior medical images from community providers more effectively.
