Kat Stickler Sparks Romance Rumors with John Mayer in NYC
Kat Stickler has stirred speculation about a romantic relationship with musician John Mayer by sporting his official merchandise and sharing a playful moment on social media. The 31-year-old comedian recently posted an Instagram Story featuring her wearing “Life With John Mayer Baby Blue Sweatpants” while enjoying donuts in bed, which fans quickly noticed. This subtle nod to Mayer, who is known for his “Donut Sundays” tradition, has led to increased interest in their connection.
The Instagram post emerged on November 28, 2023, just over a month after Us Weekly confirmed that Stickler and Mayer, 48, are dating following their meeting online. An insider revealed that Mayer actively pursued Stickler after she recently ended a brief relationship. “John sought her out and pursued her,” the source explained. “Kat just broke up with someone she had been dating for a few months and thought it would be fun to date again.”
Despite the excitement surrounding their budding romance, the insider emphasized that their relationship is still in its early stages. “He has been actively pursuing her, inviting her places and texting her often,” the source added. “She is interested and seeing where it goes.”
Public Sightings and Social Media Hints
Stickler and Mayer were first linked when they were spotted dining together at Fly Fish in New York City earlier this month. While the insider noted that Stickler does not anticipate this being a serious relationship, she is clearly enjoying her time with the acclaimed musician.
Their casual romance continued to unfold with another sighting in NYC on November 1 at Torrisi. The following day, Mayer was seen in Manhattan’s West Village with a woman who appeared to be Stickler, further fueling the speculation. Although neither has publicly confirmed their relationship status, Us Weekly has reached out for comments.
Stickler’s romance with Mayer follows her recent breakup with an unnamed man who she had dated briefly during the summer. In a humorous social media video, she shared that her new bob haircut was a “tell-tale sign of a relationship gone bad,” captioning, “When a haircut is never JUST a haircut. Chopped the hair, kept the peace.”
A Glimpse into Their Backgrounds
The relationship marks a significant moment for Stickler, who was previously married to Mike Stickler, with whom she shares a daughter, MK. She also had a brief romance with Bachelor Nation’s Jason Tartick before confirming her split in October 2023.
Mayer, on the other hand, is known for his past high-profile relationships, including those with Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston. His most recent public relationship was with Katy Perry, with whom he had an on-and-off relationship from 2012 to 2015. Mayer has been open about how his past relationships have influenced his music, notably mentioning that his song “Still Feel Like Your Man” was inspired by Perry.
As both Stickler and Mayer navigate their personal lives, fans will undoubtedly be watching closely to see how this new chapter unfolds.
