DC Direct Unveils New Batman Ninja and Batgirl Statues, McFarlane Toys Launches Marvel Rivals
DC Direct has announced the upcoming release of two highly anticipated statues: a Batman Ninja and a Batgirl, both designed with intricate detail and artistry. These collectibles are inspired by the acclaimed Batman: Black & White series and the artistic vision of J. Scott Campbell, known for his work on the DC Cover Girls. Meanwhile, McFarlane Toys has introduced statues of Hulk and Venom, drawing inspiration from the Marvel Rivals video game. Pre-orders for these collectibles will begin on December 4th.
The Batman Ninja statue will feature a 1:10 scale resin model, capturing the unique aesthetic of the Batman: Black & White series. This series is celebrated for its striking visual style, and the statue is expected to embody this distinctive portrayal of the Dark Knight. Conversely, the Batgirl statue, designed in a 1:8 scale, reflects the dynamic and alluring style characteristic of Campbell’s creations. Collectors can expect the Batman Ninja statue to stand approximately 7.75 inches tall, while the Batgirl will reach 10 inches.
The current trend in the collectibles market emphasizes high-quality statues that serve as more than just toys; they are exquisite display pieces. The expected price points for these new releases are around $180 for the Batman Ninja and $200 for the Batgirl statue. Such pricing reflects DC Direct’s commitment to producing premium collectibles that appeal to both dedicated enthusiasts and casual fans.
In addition to DC Direct’s offerings, McFarlane Toys has launched its own line of statues featuring Hulk and Venom. Each statue stands out not only for its imposing size—Hulk at 10.75 inches and Venom at 9.5 inches—but also for the detailed background scenes included with each figure, along with a comic book. Priced at $59.99 each, these statues cater to collectors looking for value and quality. The innovative integration of comic book elements adds extra appeal to fans of the Marvel franchise.
This latest wave of collectibles highlights the growing diversity within the market, as manufacturers strive to innovate and attract a broad audience. Both DC Direct and McFarlane Toys are responding to the increasing demand for high-end collectibles, offering a wide array of options that range from classic comic book characters to modern video game icons.
As collectors eagerly await the pre-order date, the excitement surrounding these releases showcases the enduring popularity of premium statues as a favored collectible format. The Batman Ninja and Batgirl statues from DC Direct, alongside the Hulk and Venom figures from McFarlane Toys, reflect the dynamic and evolving landscape of the collectibles market, providing ample opportunities for enthusiasts to expand their collections.
The forthcoming December launch not only signifies new additions to collectors’ shelves but also underscores the ongoing trend of intertwining various forms of media into collectible products. This evolution continues to captivate both dedicated fans and those new to the world of high-quality collectibles.
