Beloved Emma Jo Jones, 29, Passes Away; Service Set for Nov 22

BREAKING: Emma Jo Jones, aged 29, tragically passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2025, leaving a profound impact on all who knew her. A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Emma’s vibrant spirit and infectious joy will be remembered by many.

Born to Rebecca Jones and the late Dennis Jones, Emma was a proud triplet, sharing her life with siblings Ella and Evan Jones, and was the cherished younger sister of Molly Hawthorne. Emma graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 2014, excelling academically and as a dedicated lacrosse player. Her commitment to the sport took her to Lebanon Valley College, where she earned her degree in Biology in 2018 and received multiple accolades, including MVP and Outstanding Female Athlete in 2017-2018.

Emma’s professional journey included roles as a lab technician in Berks County and a lab scientist in West Virginia, where she was residing at the time of her passing. She was also fondly remembered by patrons of Zia Maria’s Restaurant in Adamstown, where she and her sister Molly were known for their lively teamwork and laughter.

Emma’s larger-than-life personality made her unforgettable. Known for her boldness, humor, and generosity, she had a unique gift for making others feel valued and appreciated. Her warmth touched many lives, and although the world feels diminished without her, her spirit is believed to carry on, bringing light to those she loved.

Emma is survived by her mother, Rebecca, and her significant other, Eric; her siblings Molly, Ella, and Evan; her adored nieces; her Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Bart, who nurtured her love for fishing; and her “second father” Seth Remp, who guided her through many life lessons.

A public memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 20252:00 PM at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, located at 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611. The family will welcome friends and relatives from 12:00 noon until the service begins.
