Kristin Cavallari recently confirmed that she went on a date with Will Hardy, the head coach of the Utah Jazz, earlier this year. The outing took place in Nashville, where the 38-year-old television personality met Hardy, 37. Despite the initial interest, sources indicate that the connection did not develop beyond that one meeting.

A source shared with Us Weekly that Cavallari met Hardy “many months ago” but ultimately decided not to pursue a further relationship. “It was one date and that was it,” the insider explained. “She never saw him again.”

Reflecting on her dating experiences, Cavallari discussed her journey on her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest,” where she expressed her openness to dating after a period of focusing on her work and family. In October, she mentioned, “I literally said to the universe, ‘I’m ready to go on a date,’” shortly before receiving a call from her agent who set her up with the coach. “He flew to Nashville, took me to dinner, such a great guy,” she noted.

Cavallari emphasized her intuition regarding relationships, stating, “I know after the first date if I’m going to like someone or not.” While she enjoyed the conversation with Hardy, she felt that something was amiss. “When I’m out of alignment for what is meant for me, everything in my body screams at me,” she added. Despite recognizing Hardy as a good person, she ultimately concluded, “It just wasn’t right.”

Focus on Personal Growth and Career

Cavallari’s brief encounter with Hardy followed her decision to take a break from dating earlier this year. In October, she explained that she wanted to prioritize her career and family, stating, “I was intentional about it because leading up to the podcast tour, I didn’t want any distractions.”

In December, she revealed she had been dating a retired athlete, Nate Thompson, who she described as “such a good guy” and someone who “checks all the boxes.” In April, Cavallari confirmed on her podcast that Thompson, a former NHL player, was her mystery man. She characterized their relationship as “the most honest, pure, amazing relationship” she had ever experienced, although she clarified, “I wouldn’t consider him a boyfriend.”

The long-distance aspect of their relationship posed challenges, and Cavallari noted that while they had fun together, she ultimately did not want to commit to a relationship. “I just didn’t wanna be in a relationship,” she expressed.

Cavallari shares three children—Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9—with her ex-husband, former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. The couple was married from 2013 until their divorce in 2022.

Looking Forward

This past year, while Cavallari’s dating life took a backseat, she has been busy preparing for a reunion of the iconic reality show, “Laguna Beach.” She traveled to Orange County, California, last month to film the special alongside fellow cast members Lauren Conrad and Stephen Colletti.

Despite the challenges in her dating life, Cavallari expressed optimism about the future. “I don’t know the last time I talked about my dating life. Probably because my dating life was nonexistent this whole year until recently, and now it’s really picked back up,” she said on her podcast. Her openness to new experiences signals a renewed enthusiasm for what lies ahead in both her personal and professional life.
