URGENT UPDATE: Archbold Grady has just launched a crucial new service designed to assist adults struggling with substance and alcohol abuse. The Withdrawal Management Program, introduced on January 22, 2026, is a voluntary inpatient initiative aimed at providing a safe, medically supervised environment for individuals seeking to withdraw from prolonged substance use.

This program specifically targets withdrawal from alcohol, opiates, and benzodiazepines, offering 24-hour medical care and tailored medications to alleviate withdrawal symptoms. “Our goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment,” said David Griner, Program Director. “Help is a phone call away.”

With substance abuse taking a heavy toll on personal and professional lives, the need for effective withdrawal management has never been more critical. A medically managed withdrawal is considered the safest approach to eliminate harmful toxins from the body, paving the way for recovery.

“After long-term use, the body can become reliant on drugs or alcohol,” explained Wendy Beatty, Community Education Director. “Withdrawal symptoms can vary greatly in severity based on numerous factors, including physical health and age.” The average stay in the Archbold Grady program is 3 to 5 days, ensuring patients receive constant medical supervision and immediate access to treatment for any complications that may arise.

The Withdrawal Management Program serves adults aged 18 and older, including pregnant and post-partum mothers. Individuals can be referred by their primary care providers or can self-refer by calling the admissions team at 229-516-3494. All patients must consent to enter the program, which accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Medicare Plans, Managed Medicaid Plans, and many commercial insurance options.

This initiative is just the beginning of the recovery journey. The dedicated Archbold team assists patients in developing a personalized recovery plan post-discharge, ensuring they continue to receive support long after their stay.
