During a concert in Melbourne, Australia, British rock artist Yungblud delivered a powerful message in support of the ongoing protests in Iran, where citizens are rising against oppressive conditions. Yungblud referred to Amini as he spoke passionately about the plight of Iranian demonstrators, stating, “Two years ago, I spoke about a girl called Mahsa Amini from Iran, who was murdered for not wearing her hijab.” He emphasized that questioning someone’s religion is not his place but highlighted the universal fight for equality and liberation. “This community fights for equality and liberation throughout the fucking world,” he added.
