BREAKING: Elizabeth A. Risser, a beloved resident of Mohrsville, has sadly passed away at the age of 77. She died on January 7, 2026, at Keystone Villa in Fleetwood, leaving behind a family that cherished her deeply.

The passing of Risser, who was the wife of the late David R. Risser (who died on January 31, 2007), has left a significant void in her community. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence S. and Florence A. (Kapp) Bugg. A proud graduate of ELCO High School in 1966, Elizabeth dedicated her life to her family and faith, attending New Beginnings Grace Brethren Church in Myerstown.

Risser Leahy, wife of Kevin, based in Chicago. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Andrew, Zachary, Joshua, Finnegan, Benjamin, and Jadon. She is also remembered by her sister, Norene Metzler of Manheim.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence Bugg, Jr., and her twin sister, Sylvia Heller.

Family services will be held at their convenience, and Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Viewpoint Cemetery in Centre Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the New Beginnings Missions Fund at newbeginningsmyerstown.org.

The arrangements are being handled by Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc. in Leesport. For those wishing to send condolences, please visit www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com.
