Kathleen C. Mantz Passes Away at 82; Services Announced

UPDATE: Kathleen C. Mantz, aged 82, of Coplay, Pennsylvania, has passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Allentown. Her family confirmed the news, highlighting her enduring legacy of love and kindness.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of Paul H. Mantz, with whom she shared an incredible 61 years of marriage. Known for her vibrant personality, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, leaving behind her daughter Susan, sons Stephen, Daniel, and David, along with numerous grandchildren, including Alex, Aaron, Tyler, Lauren, Lucas, Andrew, Noah, and Sadie, plus six grand dogs.

She was a proud graduate of Whitehall High School, class of 1961, and retired after nearly 20 years as a sales associate at Kohl’s. Kathleen was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Egypt, where she actively participated in community events. Her passions included baking, sewing, crafting, gardening, and knitting, and she had a special fondness for Snoopy and The Peanuts Gang.

A public calling period is scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Brubaker Funeral Home, located at 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua. Following this, a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the parlor, with interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Allentown thereafter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Brindle Buddies and Friends at 341 E. Breadfruit Dr., Walnutport, PA 18088, or to the Holy Trinity R.C.C. – Soup Kitchen at 4102 S. Church St., Whitehall, PA 18052.
