Beloved Community Figure Kathleen Allen Passes Away at 72

Kathleen Laurel “Kat, Kathy” Allen (Lunn), a cherished member of the Centralia community, passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on November 20, 2025. She spent her final moments in her home in Centralia, Washington, where she had lived for many years.

Born in 1953 in San Francisco, California, Kathy moved to Centralia during her formative years. She graduated from Centralia High School as part of the Class of 1971. Her life was marked by a deep commitment to her family and friends. Kathy enjoyed bowling at Fairlanes Bowl, where she also worked as a cocktail waitress, nurturing lasting friendships along the way.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, David Allen; her daughter, Billie-Jo Allen; her grandson, David; and her son-in-law, Corey. Family was at the heart of Kathy’s life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Her legacy continues through the love and memories shared with those she left behind.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her grandparents, her brother Robert Allen, and her son Robert, who were significant figures in her life. Kathy’s memory will endure in the hearts of her family and friends, providing comfort during this difficult time.

A graveside service to honor Kathy’s life will be held on December 5, 2025. The service is scheduled from 11:00 to 14:00 at Mountain View Cemetery, located at 1113 Caveness Drive, Centralia, Washington.

Kathy Allen’s passing marks the loss of a beloved individual who made an impact on many lives. Her spirit and kindness will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know her.
