Fargo Theatre Secures $500,000 Grant for Renovations

The historic Fargo Theatre has received a significant financial boost with a grant of $500,000 from the North Dakota Department of Commerce. This funding, announced on November 26, 2023, is part of the 2025 Tourism and Community Enhancement Grants aimed at bolstering tourism and preserving community landmarks across the state.

As one of seven recipients in North Dakota, the Fargo Theatre will utilize the grant for essential renovations that ensure the preservation and maintenance of the nearly century-old venue. Emily Beck, executive director of the Fargo Theatre, outlined how the grant will be spent. “It’ll be used for projects that will preserve and maintain our historic facility. That includes everything from HVAC to plumbing, some fresh paint and new carpet,” she explained.
