Lake County Councilman’s Wife’s Death Ruled ‘Undetermined’ by Coroner

UPDATE: The Lake County Coroner’s Office has officially classified the death of Nicole Mabon-Brewer, wife of Lake County Councilman Ron Brewer, as “undetermined.” This decision was made public on September 26, 2023, following her death on September 3.

Authorities report that Mabon-Brewer, aged 47, was discovered unresponsive at her residence in the 2300 block of 20th Place in Gary, Indiana, shortly before 11:25 a.m. on that day.
