Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade 2023: Star-Studded Lineup Revealed!
UPDATE: The highly anticipated lineup for the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has just been announced, featuring an electrifying array of stars including Ciara, Lil Jon, Kool & the Gang, Busta Rhymes, and many more. The parade kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on November 27, 2023, in all time zones, promising to be a spectacular holiday celebration.
This year’s event will spotlight the cultural phenomenon surrounding “KPop Demon Hunters,” with live performances from the film’s singers alongside delightful character balloons. Audiences can expect appearances from Audrey Nuna, EJAE, and Rei Ami of the Netflix hit, whose soundtrack recently soared to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and achieved platinum status.
The parade will feature an impressive lineup of 32 balloons, 27 floats, 33 clown groups, and 11 marching bands, all culminating in a grand entrance by Santa Claus. Returning to host the event are NBC’s beloved trio: Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker, ensuring viewers won’t miss a moment of the festive action.
This year, fans can look forward to the debut of four new character balloons, including Buzz Lightyear, Pac-Man, and a 32-foot-tall onion carriage featuring characters from “Shrek.” The lineup also includes a whimsical float from Serta showcasing sheep trying to sleep, alongside new floats from Lego, Lindt chocolates, and “Stranger Things.”
Broadway will shine with performances from casts of “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Just in Time,” and “Ragtime,” while the iconic Radio City Rockettes will dazzle crowds. Notable athletes, including three-time U.S. national champion figure skater Ilia Malinin and U.S. Paralympian Jack Wallace, will also join the festivities.
Last year, the parade attracted over 31 million viewers on NBC and Peacock, marking a 10% increase from the previous year and solidifying its status as a must-watch event. This year, the excitement continues with more star announcements expected in the coming days.
As fans line the streets of New York, the atmosphere will be electric, with spectators eager to cheer for their favorite celebrities, floats, and marching bands. The New York Police Department’s marching band will also participate, adding to the community spirit of this cherished holiday tradition.
Stay tuned as more updates and star appearances are confirmed in the lead-up to this spectacular celebration. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is not just a holiday event; it’s a heartwarming kickoff to a season of joy and gratitude.
