Fugitive Child Rapist Arrested in Massachusetts After Nationwide Manhunt
BREAKING: A woman wanted for child rape in Hawaii has been arrested in Massachusetts, confirming the relentless pursuit of justice by U.S. Marshals. Coleen Kuamo`o, 43, also known as Malama Kuamo`o, was apprehended in Worcester following a nationwide manhunt.
Authorities reveal that Kuamo`o is facing serious charges, including one count of first-degree sexual assault, three counts of third-degree sexual assault, and one count of using a computer in the commission of a crime. The alleged offenses occurred in Wailuku, Hawaii, where she is accused of assaulting a child.
“Anyone who thinks they can flee across the country to avoid facing justice is mistaken,” stated Kevin Neal, the Acting U.S. Marshal for Massachusetts. “The U.S. Marshals Service is committed to ensuring fugitives face justice – no matter where they run.”
The arrest took place on Thursday, following a tip-off from the Maui Police Department and the Marshals Service in Hawaii, who believed Kuamo`o was hiding in the Bay State. U.S. Marshals tracked her down quickly, demonstrating their efficiency and determination to apprehend fugitives.
This case highlights the ongoing collaboration between law enforcement agencies across states, ensuring that those who commit heinous acts are brought to justice regardless of their location. The swift arrest serves as a warning to others that evading law enforcement is futile.
In a related note, the Boston Police Department reported a busy weekend, responding to 299 incidents between 10 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. This included two robberies, six aggravated assaults, and multiple instances of vehicle theft. The police are actively working to maintain community safety amidst rising crime rates.
Moving forward, authorities will continue to monitor Kuamo`o’s case as it unfolds, and updates will be provided as they become available. Residents are reminded to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
For now, the arrest of Coleen Kuamo`o marks a significant victory for justice, reassuring the public that law enforcement remains dedicated to protecting vulnerable communities.
