Chicago’s Wintrust Magnificent Mile Lights Festival Starts Soon!
URGENT UPDATE: Chicago is gearing up for a dazzling holiday kickoff with the annual Wintrust Magnificent Mile Lights Festival set for November 22, 2023. The iconic North Michigan Avenue will transform into a spectacle of lights, joy, and holiday spirit just in time for Thanksgiving.
This year’s festival promises to be unforgettable, featuring beloved characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse from Walt Disney World Resort, who will illuminate the parade and delight thousands of attendees. Jim Vozzella, spokesperson for The Magnificent Mile Association, shared exciting details about the upcoming festivities during an exclusive interview with ABC7.
The Lights Festival Lane will take place from 11 AM to 4 PM at Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan Ave., where families can enjoy interactive activities and special performances. The main event, the parade, kicks off at 5:30 PM and will run until 7:30 PM, traveling south along North Michigan Avenue from Oak Street to Wacker Drive.
To cap off the evening, a spectacular fireworks display will light up the sky over the Chicago River, creating a magical atmosphere that captures the essence of the holiday season.
