Bold MLB Predictions Graded: A’s and F’s for All 30 Teams
UPDATE: The 2025 MLB season predictions have been graded, revealing a mix of stellar successes and dismal failures across all 30 teams. As fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming offseason, analysts are dissecting these bold forecasts to see who hit the mark and who missed entirely.
Just announced by experts, the grades highlight standout players like Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who not only clinched the Cy Young Award but also delivered the best season for a Pirates starter since 1920, earning an impressive A+ grade. Skenes recorded a 1.97 ERA and a 7.7 WAR, setting high expectations for the 2026 season.
In the Seattle Mariners camp, Bryan Woo also excelled, finishing with a 2.94 ERA and leading the rotation with a remarkable A+ rating. Despite his injury sidelining him during the playoffs, Woo’s achievement as a top starter keeps the Mariners hopeful for next year.
However, not all predictions fared well. The New York Yankees faced a crushing defeat with an F grade after predictions of an 80-82 finish fell flat when they achieved a stunning 94 wins. This unexpected success came largely due to stellar performances from Aaron Judge and the pitching rotation.
Another disappointing forecast belonged to the Toronto Blue Jays, whose prediction of trading Vladimir Guerrero Jr. turned into a failure. Instead, the Jays extended Guerrero with a $500 million deal just after the season commenced, marking a significant miscalculation.
Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox struggled, coming close to matching the historic loss record with a 102 losses, earning them a D+. Despite the bleak season, they will look ahead to 2026 with hopes of revitalizing their roster.
As teams prepare for the offseason, much attention will be given to free agents and potential trades, with many franchises seeking to bounce back from disappointing seasons. The 2026 MLB season promises to be filled with drama as teams reassess their strategies based on these bold yet realistic predictions.
Next up: Fans should watch for major moves as teams gear up for the offseason, with key players like Riley Greene and Wyatt Langford expected to play crucial roles moving forward. The upcoming months will be pivotal for franchises looking to reshape their futures based on the lessons learned from the 2025 season.
Stay tuned for more updates as the MLB offseason unfolds and teams strategize for a competitive 2026 season.
