Eligible blood donors in Chatham County will have the opportunity to receive up to $40 in rewards during an upcoming community blood drive. This event, hosted by the Chatham County Tax Commissioner’s Office in partnership with The Blood Connection, is set to take place on November 15, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1145 Eisenhower Drive.
Community members, including neighbors and employees, are encouraged to participate and support this vital cause. Donors can either walk in on the day of the event or pre-register online using the sponsor code “13243” or by scanning the QR code provided on promotional flyers.
Chatham County Tax Commissioner Sonya L. Jackson emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating, “Every donation directly impacts families here in our community. When we show up for one another, we strengthen the bonds that define Chatham County.” This sentiment highlights the critical role blood donations play in supporting local healthcare needs.
The blood drive is not only a chance to contribute to the community but also an opportunity for eligible donors to receive financial incentives. Such initiatives aim to enhance participation rates and ensure that local hospitals have adequate blood supplies.
For more information regarding eligibility requirements and event details, individuals can visit the official website of The Blood Connection or contact the Chatham County Tax Commissioner’s Office directly. The community’s response to this event will reflect the solidarity and commitment to supporting one another during challenging times.
