Journey Embarks on ‘Final Frontier Tour’ Across North America
Rock legends Journey have announced their upcoming farewell tour, the ‘Final Frontier Tour’, set to traverse North America and Canada in 2026 and 2027. This extensive tour aims to celebrate the band’s remarkable legacy and deep connection with fans through high-energy performances of their greatest hits. Kicking off on February 28, 2026, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the tour will span 60 cities, culminating on July 2, 2026, in Laredo, Texas.
The tour, which marks the first leg of a larger farewell celebration, promises to feature both the band’s chart-topping hits and some of their lesser-known tracks. While the official end date is yet to be confirmed, founding member and guitarist Neal Schon has indicated plans for the tour to continue into 2027, creating a full-circle experience for fans who have supported the band throughout its journey.
Celebrating a Legacy
Schon expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the fans, emphasizing that the ‘Final Frontier Tour’ serves as a thank you to those who have stood by Journey through the years. He reaffirmed his commitment to the band’s legacy, assuring fans that the spirit of Journey will endure. The current lineup includes Arnel Pineda on vocals, Deen Castronovo on drums, Todd Jensen on bass, and keyboardists Jonathan Cain and Jason Derlatka.
Journey’s formation in 1973 marked the beginning of a remarkable trajectory, leading to global recognition and success. The band has sold over 100 million records worldwide, securing their place as one of the best-selling bands of all time. Their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 further underscores their lasting impact on music.
A Lasting Connection with Fans
Schon highlighted the importance of this tour as an opportunity for one last shared experience with fans. He described the performances as a magical event, allowing attendees to relive the moments that have defined the band’s music over the decades. The tour will offer a brand-new production, enhancing the overall experience for concertgoers and ensuring a high-energy spectacle.
While this tour signifies the end of a chapter for Journey, Schon made it clear that it does not mark the end of his musical journey. He intends to continue creating music, reflecting his dedication to the art form and the evolution of his career.
The announcement of the ‘Final Frontier Tour’ is not only significant for the band but also for their devoted fans, who will have the chance to celebrate the enduring music and legacy of Journey one last time. As they prepare for this monumental farewell, the band looks forward to connecting with audiences across North America in a heartfelt celebration of their decades-long journey.
