A variety of new television shows and specials are set to premiere this week, from November 3 to November 9, providing audiences with an array of entertainment options across streaming platforms and cable networks. This week features a mix of drama, mystery, and comedy, appealing to diverse viewer preferences.
Star-Studded Legal Drama
One of the most anticipated releases is the legal drama series All’s Fair, created by Ryan Murphy. The show stars acclaimed actresses Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash, alongside high-profile guests including Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, and Glenn Close. The plot revolves around a group of successful divorce lawyers, with tension rising as Allura Grant, played by Kardashian, navigates her own divorce. Paulson portrays Carrington Lane, who takes on the role of representing Allura’s soon-to-be ex-husband. The series is set to stream on Hulu starting on Tuesday.
Mystery Unfolds in ‘All Her Fault’
On a different note, the new drama series All Her Fault raises the stakes for parents everywhere. When Marissa, portrayed by Sarah Snook, goes to pick up her son from a play date only to find he is missing, she teams up with her new friend Jenny, played by Dakota Fanning. Together, they delve into hidden family secrets as they search for answers. The show will be available for streaming on Peacock beginning Thursday.
A Historical Perspective on Tragedy
For history enthusiasts, Death by Lightning presents a gripping account of the assassination of U.S. President James A. Garfield. This four-part miniseries features Michael Shannon as Garfield and Matthew Macfadyen as the assassin, Charles J. Guiteau. The series explores the complexities surrounding Garfield’s short-lived presidency, which was tragically cut short by his assassination. Viewers can catch this miniseries on Netflix starting Thursday.
Mockumentary Returns with ‘St. Denis Medical’
Fans of the mockumentary style will be pleased to see the return of St. Denis Medical. This sitcom, which follows the lives of hospital staff through humorous interviews and faux documentary footage, is back for a second season. The show stars Allison Tolman as Alex, the newly promoted supervising nurse. The series captures the chaotic yet comedic environment of a hospital emergency room. It airs on NBC on Monday at 20:00 and will be available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
With these diverse options premiering this week, viewers are sure to find something to suit their tastes, whether it’s gripping drama, thrilling mysteries, or light-hearted comedy. As always, times and availability may vary, so checking local listings is advisable.
