74-Year-Old Man Shot, Critically Injured in Little Village Incident
URGENT UPDATE: A 74-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot during a heated argument in Little Village, Chicago, earlier today. The incident unfolded just before 4:15 p.m. on the 3000-block of South Trumbull Avenue, as police report.
Authorities say the man was engaged in a dispute when the assailant pulled out a firearm and opened fire, striking him in the chest. Emergency responders rushed the victim to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
As of now, no suspects have been apprehended, and the investigation is ongoing. Area Four detectives are actively working to gather more information about the shooting and the individuals involved.
