Man in Nazi Uniform Attacks UGA Student at Athens Bar

A man dressed in a Nazi uniform assaulted a University of Georgia student at an off-campus bar in Athens, Georgia, on the night of March 14, 2024. The incident occurred at Cutters Pub, where the assailant, identified as Kenneth Leland Morgan, was confronted by other patrons after being denied entry.

The victim, Grace Lang, a 23-year-old student, reported that she was struck with a beer mug during the confrontation. Lang had recognized Morgan as an acquaintance through mutual friends. According to her, the attack escalated when she attempted to reach for Morgan’s armband, which displayed a swastika.

Footage of the incident shows Morgan swinging the beer mug at Lang, leading to her falling to the ground. The University of Georgia expressed its deep concern over the incident, stating, “We are horrified by the actions of an individual who, while in downtown Athens wearing a Nazi uniform, assaulted a female University of Georgia student.” The university confirmed that Morgan is not affiliated with the school.

Jail records indicate he was booked on March 15, 2024, facing two misdemeanor counts of simple battery and one felony count of aggravated assault.
