Urgent: Arlene Hartman Passes Away at 87 in Telford
BREAKING: Arlene Hartman, a beloved member of the Telford community, has passed away at the age of 87. She died on November 25, 2025, at the Lutheran Community at Telford, leaving behind a legacy of love and service.
Mrs. Hartman, who was a long-time resident of Sellersville, was known for her devotion to her family and community. She was the widow of Glenn Hartman, Sr., whom she was married to for 65 years before his death in 2023. Arlene’s passing is a profound loss for her daughter, Barbara A. Nemecek, and her husband, James, as well as many other family members and friends.
An active member of St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 60 years, Arlene contributed significantly to her church community. She served as president of WELCA for 25 years, volunteered with the Altar Guild, and was a dedicated participant in the church choir.
Arlene’s professional journey included roles at the Lutz Pants Factory and the former Emil’s Diner in Sellersville. She also worked as a consultant for both Mary Kay and Avon, retiring as a cashier from Clemens Markets in 1997.
Known for her vibrant personality, Arlene had a passion for gardening, antiquing, and traveling. She enjoyed collecting stamps and first day covers, watching the Phillies, and square dancing. Her enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
A viewing will be held on December 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. at St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 25 E. Church St., Sellersville, PA 18960. The funeral service will commence at 11 a.m., with livestream options available for those unable to attend in person. Arlene will be interred in Sellersville Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Arlene’s name to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.
