Spring Grove Dominates Muhlenberg 35-0, Advances to Quarterfinals
UPDATE: Spring Grove football has just clinched a stunning 35-0 victory over Muhlenberg, propelling them into the Division 3-5A quarterfinals. The Rockets, dominating the game from the start, showcased an explosive offense and a rock-solid defense, leading 31-0 at halftime.
The Rockets wasted no time, scoring their first touchdown just minutes into the game. Kade Gibbs opened the scoring with a 7-yard rush, putting Spring Grove ahead 7-0. Following this, Dais Baum added to the lead with a 12-yard touchdown with just 45 seconds remaining in the first quarter, making it 14-0.
By the time the second quarter rolled in, Spring Grove’s momentum was unstoppable. Brody Redding extended the lead to 21-0 with an impressive 18-yard run at 9:59 left in the half. Just before the break, Jordan Eisenhart caught a 26-yard touchdown pass, bringing the score to 31-0.
Baum not only contributed on the ground but also excelled in the air, passing for 121 yards on just five completions, including a touchdown. Redding was a force in the backfield, rushing for 122 yards, while Gibbs also made significant contributions with 100 rushing yards.
