Protester at “No Kings” Rally Calls for Trump’s Death in Shocking Outburst
UPDATE: A protester at the “No Kings for Peaceful Action” rally in Portland, Maine, has made a shocking statement, declaring that she “absolutely” wishes President Donald Trump were dead. This alarming declaration occurred during a weekend of global protests aimed at rejecting authoritarianism and opposing Trump’s policies.
The woman, speaking to Jon Fetherston from The Maine Wire, stated that receiving Trump’s obituary would be the “best birthday present.” She expressed her hopes emphatically: “I hope that I see the obituary that we’re all waiting for tomorrow.” When pressed by Fetherston, she confirmed her wish for the President’s death without hesitation.
The incident has drawn widespread attention, with Fetherston labeling her remarks as “unacceptable” and “chilling.” He noted, “There was a time in this country when talk like that had real consequences. Now it’s cheered on. Chilling. Unacceptable. Time to bring accountability back.”
The “No Kings” movement, established in June 2025, claims to promote “national resistance to tyranny” and protect democracy under Trump’s administration. According to their platform, the organization accuses Trump of targeting immigrant families, detaining individuals without due process, and posing threats to the electoral system.
Additional incidents during the protests raised concerns, including a threatening remark made by a protester in Seattle, Washington, who expressed a desire to kill White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller. In Chicago, Illinois, another protester appeared to make a violent gesture towards counter-protesters.
The protests were part of a coordinated effort across the U.S. to voice opposition to Trump’s administration and its policies. As tensions rise, the implications of such fervent rhetoric on political discourse are becoming increasingly concerning.
As the protests continue to unfold, observers are urged to monitor the escalating situation and the potential ramifications of such extreme statements on both sides of the political divide. The dialogue surrounding these events is critical as America navigates its current political landscape.
