Free Thanksgiving Meals Offered Across Boulder County Today
URGENT UPDATE: Free Thanksgiving meals are available today across Boulder County as local organizations open their doors to celebrate the holiday with those in need. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these generous offerings which kick off at various locations this morning.
Starting at 8:30 a.m., the Second Baptist Church will serve traditional Thanksgiving meals at two sites: 1212 Canyon Blvd. and 5300 Baseline Road. Guests, especially those facing homelessness, will also receive clothing and essential supplies at both locations.
The OUR Center in Longmont will host its annual Thanksgiving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 220 Collyer St.. This beloved event aims to bring the community together and ensure everyone has a warm meal during the holiday.
Meanwhile, the Unity of Boulder Spiritual Center will hold its annual community potluck dinner from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 2855 Folsom St.. Guests are invited to bring a dish to share, fostering a spirit of togetherness and gratitude.
For those looking to get involved in the festivities, the Louisville Turkey Trot begins at 9:00 a.m. near Walnut and Front streets. This fun race not only celebrates Thanksgiving but also benefits Community Food Share, offering hot chocolate and coffee to participants after the event.
Lastly, the Niwot Community Connection group invites the community to a Thanksgiving potluck from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Niwot Hall, 195 Second Ave., welcoming everyone to share in the joy of the holiday.
