Fox News Host Critiques Democrat Protests Ahead of No Kings Rallies
UPDATE: Ahead of the highly anticipated No Kings protests on June 17, 2023, Fox News host Jesse Watters has publicly criticized the effectiveness of Democrat-led demonstrations, raising urgent concerns about the upcoming rallies.
Watters, co-host of “The Five,” expressed skepticism about the protest’s ability to convey a genuine message, stating, “The Democrats, every time they do gather together, it’s not mostly peaceful.” His comments come just before an expected surge of protests across the nation, with organizers claiming that protests will occur in over 2,500 cities—approximately 500 more than the previous wave in June, where an estimated 5 million people protested against former President Donald Trump.
The No Kings rallies aim to address what organizers describe as Trump’s escalating authoritarian agenda, citing increased raids by ICE, political targeting of figures like former FBI director James Comey, and attacks on media coverage. “Since the inaugural events, Trump has only doubled down,” rally organizers assert.
In a striking comparison, Watters referred to the Tea Party, which emerged in 2007, as a more authentic movement, claiming Democrat gatherings appear “more astroturfed.” He further declared, “I don’t know if this has legs,” expressing doubt about the longevity and impact of the No Kings protests.
Adding to the tension, GOP Senator Roger Marshall warned that the protests could attract “paid actors, agitators, Pro-Hamas, and Antifa members,” and suggested the National Guard might be necessary to maintain order. “Hopefully it’ll be peaceful. I doubt it,” Marshall said, highlighting the heightened stakes as the nation prepares for a weekend of unrest.
As the No Kings rallies unfold, the nation holds its breath, awaiting developments that could shape the political landscape. With emotions running high and significant numbers involved, these protests reflect not just political dissent but a deep divide in American society.
Stay tuned for live updates as these events develop and the nation witnesses the unfolding of what could be a pivotal moment in the ongoing struggle between opposing political factions.
