The board unanimously recognized his outstanding performance, marking a decade of leadership that continues to drive the district forward.
In an urgent update, Noskey, aged 56, garnered a final weighted score of 2.98 out of 3, reflecting his effectiveness across multiple categories, including governance, community relations, and instructional leadership. His consistent high marks, with a remarkable score of 3 in four out of five evaluation areas, underscore his pivotal role in the district’s success.
During the meeting, Belding Area Schools Board President Terry Boni praised Noskey’s contributions. “He is just as effective as he was before,” he stated. “We found Mr. Noskey’s score to be a 99%. He did really well.” This evaluation reinforces the trust the board and community place in Noskey, who has not received a score below 92% throughout his tenure.
Noskey’s leadership has been instrumental in maintaining strong financial standings, navigating a student enrollment decline from 1,875 in 2016-17 to 1,652 in 2024-25, a drop of 12% over nine years. Yet, he emphasizes the importance of community relations and staff engagement, stating, “There’s something special about Belding. We’re a family.”
The board’s unwavering support has allowed Noskey to thrive, with him attributing his success to his dedicated administrative team. “I always spread the credit,” he noted. “I could not do this job without my administrative team.”
In response to the evaluation, Noskey expressed gratitude for the board’s confidence and support. “We have a great board,” he said, highlighting the collaborative efforts that drive the district’s progress.
As the school district continues to evolve, Noskey remains committed to fostering a positive culture and strengthening community ties. His current base salary stands at $157,725, with no changes to his contract following this evaluation.
