AEW Star Harley Cameron Embraces Wrestling as Her Dream Career
Harley Cameron, a rising star in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), is fully immersed in her passion for wrestling, describing it as her “dream job.” Currently competing in AEW, Cameron is not only honing her in-ring skills but also finding innovative ways to showcase her diverse talents, including singing and ventriloquism.
Cameron’s Commitment to Wrestling
In a recent interview with TV Insider, Cameron expressed that while she is open to exploring other entertainment avenues, her primary focus remains on wrestling. “I will say my focus and heart is on wrestling,” she stated. Cameron has received interest from various entertainment platforms, including shows like America’s Got Talent, but emphasizes that any new opportunity must align with her current commitments and aspirations.
“I just think it would have to be the right time, right situation because I’m currently living my dream job,” Cameron added. She appreciates the support from AEW President Tony Khan, who has allowed her to integrate her other talents into her wrestling persona. “I feel like I’m kind of getting to live my dream currently,” she remarked.
Balancing Multiple Talents
Cameron’s love for entertainment extends beyond wrestling. She cited Jack Black and Martin Short as inspirations, indicating her appreciation for comedy. Unlike many who view wrestling as a temporary phase, Cameron sees it as a fulfilling career. She has enjoyed a “very fruitful” journey in entertainment before joining AEW and continues to pursue external projects.
While she has entertained offers from various sources, Cameron remains discreet about specific opportunities she has received, citing privacy concerns. “I will say just for privacy reasons I won’t say specifically who,” she noted, highlighting that her talents have captured the attention of individuals outside the wrestling world.
“I just think how cool it is that my other walks of life, whether it’s the puppetry, the music, or the wrestling itself has brought a new audience in,” she explained. Cameron is pleased to see that her performances have piqued the interest of viewers who might not have previously engaged with wrestling.
Looking ahead, Cameron, alongside her tag team partner Willow Nightingale, known as the Babes of Wrath, is gearing up for an important match. They are competing in the tournament to crown the first-ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions, facing off against Julia Hart and Skye Blue in a semifinal match scheduled for March 15, 2024, during AEW’s Dynamite.
Cameron’s journey in wrestling is a testament to her dedication and passion. As she continues to thrive in her role, her commitment to her craft and willingness to embrace new opportunities may very well inspire others in the world of professional wrestling and beyond.
