The annual event “Hermosa for the Holidays” marked its fifth anniversary with a weekend filled with festive activities, live music, and community spirit. Taking place from November 21 to November 23, 2025, the celebration also highlighted the 20th anniversary of the “Rock for Tots” initiative, which raises funds for local charities.

Activities unfolded at Pier Plaza, where families gathered to enjoy a variety of performances and engage in seasonal festivities. The atmosphere was vibrant, featuring live performances from local musicians, including Ayan Sadhal and Kai Rendes, who showcased their talents with the band Rad Idea. Guests were treated to a ceremonial tree lighting, which signified the official start of the holiday season in the South Bay.

The event attracted numerous visitors, including children eager to meet Santa Claus and share their wish lists. Five-year-old Luna Jackson handed a letter to Santa, played by local performer RiGo Coloma, embodying the holiday spirit that permeated the fair.

Community Involvement and Support

Hosted by the Hermosa Beach Chamber Foundation, “Hermosa for the Holidays” aimed to boost local nonprofits through its “Nonprofit Giving Village.” This initiative allowed various charities to showcase their missions and encourage community support. The event also featured the “Kids Creationz Market,” where young entrepreneurs from kindergarten through eighth grade displayed their creative projects and products.

The “Rock for Tots” fundraiser, led by founder Jeremy Buck, gathered numerous local musicians who performed to raise donations for the Beach Cities Toy Drive and the Harbor Regional Center Holiday Fund. The initiative has consistently garnered community support, reflecting the longstanding commitment to giving back during the holiday season.

Throughout the weekend, attendees enjoyed a range of activities, from live music performances to festive rides like the Ferris wheel. The presence of local police and firefighters added a warm touch, as they participated in the celebrations, engaging with families and enhancing the event’s community-focused atmosphere.

A Celebration of Generosity

The dual celebration of “Hermosa for the Holidays” and “Rock for Tots” not only provided entertainment but also emphasized the importance of generosity within the community. With the participation of local businesses and organizations, the event illustrated how collective efforts can make a significant impact, especially during the holiday season.

As the festivities concluded, the spirit of togetherness and community support was palpable, leaving attendees with lasting memories and the anticipation of future celebrations. The success of this year’s event reinforces the significance of community engagement and charitable giving, showcasing how local initiatives can foster a sense of belonging and joy during the holidays.
