Families Celebrate the Season at Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees
Families gathered at Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees on December 6, 2025, to select their perfect holiday tree while enjoying hot cocoa by the fire. This annual event has become a cherished tradition for many, drawing visitors to this local establishment known for its festive atmosphere and quality offerings.
Located in Minnesota, Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees has been serving the community for a decade, providing a diverse selection of trees, including Blue Spruce, White Pine, and Scotch Pine. The farm’s owner, Dave Blissenbach, shared that his inspiration for starting the business came from his uncle, who has been growing Christmas trees near St. Cloud for over fifty years. Blissenbach has dedicated the past twenty years to cultivating trees on his farm, understanding that it typically takes around eight to ten years for them to reach maturity.
As families visited the farm, Blissenbach noted the sense of joy and camaraderie that permeated the experience. “We see young families as they grow, and their kids get a little bigger each year,” he said. “Everybody’s always in a good mood when they’re getting a Christmas tree, and it’s just a lot of fun to be able to be a part of that and help them make a memory for their families.”
This year, Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees will be open on Saturdays and Sundays until December 14, providing ample opportunity for families to partake in the holiday spirit. The combination of selecting a tree, sipping warm beverages, and enjoying the festive environment contributes to a memorable outing for those in the area.
As the holiday season progresses, local businesses like Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees play a vital role in fostering community connections and creating lasting traditions. With each tree chosen, families are not just selecting a decoration but are also building cherished memories that will last for years to come.
